An over-the-road semi-oscillating fifth wheel designed to eliminate the use of grease on the top plate and between top plate and bracket. (Grease is still required in the locking mechanism.) Molded non-abrasive inserts in the top plate and austempered ductile iron pocket inserts eliminate the need for lubrication in these areas.

PATENTED LUBE PLATE INSERTS

The innovative, replaceable patented lube plate inserts are made of non-abrasive material and molded to a steel backing plate for greater durability.  They fit into cast recesses of the top plate and are secured by studs and locknuts.  It maintains constant lubrication between fifth wheel and upper coupler

MECHANICALLY BOUND LUBE PLATE INSERTS

The replaceable lube plate inserts are mechanically-bound to a unique "perforated" plate that provides friction-free performance and extends the life of the lube plate compound.  The lube plates fit into cast recesses of the top plate and are secured by studs and locknuts.

IRON POCKET ARTICULATION INSERTS

Austempered ductile iron pocket inserts fit between the top plate and brackets to provide smooth, long lasting top plate articulation. 

EASILY ACCESSIBLE LOCK GREASE FITTING

Holland Low Lube Fifth Wheels also feature an easily accessible grease fitting for periodic lubrication of the locks without uncoupling.
