No Lube Fifth Wheel Option


The industry's first completely GREASE-FREE fifth wheel!  The Holland NoLube Fifth Wheel is an over-the-road semi-oscillating fifth wheel designed to completely eliminate the use of grease on the top plate, between top plate and bracket and in the lock mechanism.

MECHANICALLY BOUND LUBE PLATE INSERTS

The replaceable lube plate inserts are mechanically-bound to a unique "perforated" plate that provides friction-free performance and extends the life of the lube plate compound.  The lube plates fit into cast recesses of the top plate and are secured by studs and locknuts.

IRON POCKET ARTICULATION INSERTS

Austempered ductile iron pocket inserts fit between the top plate and brackets to provide smooth, long lasting top plate articulation. 

No Lube Alloy King Pin Contacts

SPECIAL ALLOY KINGPIN CONTACT AREA

A ‘slurry’ of binding materials and various alloys is applied to the lock area that make contact with the kingpin. It is then exposed to a highly- focused laser that ‘micro-welds’ the slurry to the lock so it becomes an integral part of the metal.  This provides a lubrication-free base, almost no wear nor corrosion over time and it won’t chip off like a standard coating will.

The lock mechanism requires no lubrication.  Lock components are protected with low friction coating.
