HOLLAND, Michigan, July 26, 2004 - The Holland Group today announced management changes approved by the Board of Directors at their recent meeting.
The Holland, Michigan-based manufacturer of commercial vehicle products has appointed Richard W. Muzzy, Jr. as Chairman of the Board of Directors. In addition Mr. Muzzy, formerly President and Chief Executive Officer of the Holland Group retains the position of Chief Executive Officer.
Samuel A. Martin, formerly Executive Vice President, now assumes the position of President and Chief Administrative Officer of the Holland Group.
Mr. Martin began his career with Holland Hitch Company, the predecessor of the Holland Group in 1974 as a metallurgical engineer. He was promoted to Executive Vice President of the Holland Group in 1999. In his position as Executive Vice President of the Holland Group, Mr. Martin led a successful effort to restructure the company during the 2001-2002 period.
A graduate of Lafayette College in Easton, PA with a B.S. in Metallurgical Engineering, Mr. Martin received a Ph.D. in Metallurgical Engineering from The Ohio State University in 1971.
Mr. Martin’s professional associations include serving as Chairman of Associates for the Truck Trailer Manufacturers Association and membership in Alpha Sigma Mu Metallurgical Honorary Society, ASM International, and the Society of Automotive Engineers.
